We have been using the Hypex Class D amplifier modules in our system for a year now and are very happy with the sound quality. We have not heard anything we prefer, they offer the best of most worlds. Low power consumption but with the sound quality of a good Class A design. Easy to listen to sound of a good valve amplifier but with excellent control of speakers giving tight and powerful bass.

In addition to the Hypex power supply modules we add an active power supply stage of our own design which lowers noise and mains ripple further for even better sound quality.

The example pictured here is a pair of Monoblock power amplifiers built using Hypex modules UCD400hg with HXR regulators, HG mono power supply, softstart and TR400 transformer. These have the Chevron power supply enhancement, Eichmann Cable pods, Nextgen Silver RCA sockets and Neutrik Silver XLR’s. This configuration is top of the range and would cost £1900 for a pair.
